Position Summary and Responsibilities
Teledyne Marine Seismic is comprised of several business units that design and manufacture high-quality, reliable, and durable marine seismic exploration products. For over four decades Teledyne has set the standard for marine geophysical exploration equipment. Characterized by innovative designs, Teledyne's marine seismic products have earned a reputation for high performance, reliability and low cost of ownership
This position will be based in Cypress, Texas at one of Teledyne's Marine Seismic Business units (Teledyne AG Geophysical), and will work as a senior Electrical Hardware Engineer in support of the R&D and Sustaining Engineering needs of the group.
To provide Electrical Hardware Engineering expertise and support in embedded system design, development, modification, troubleshooting, and installation.
+ Establish and define complex electrical and mechanical system requirements, determine system specifications, processes and working parameters.
+ Translate requirements into subordinate, subsystem, and detailed technical requirements. Generate interface control specifications.
+ Ensure electrical and mechanical software and hardware are compatible and capable of required performance metrics.
+ Consult with users to identify functional needs/problems.
+ Establish test plans. Coordinate and conduct product verification testing.
+ Assure product compliance with defined performance metrics.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation.
+ Work closely with customer, engineering, quality, and others to ensure objectives/requirements are understood and satisfied.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "U.S. Person" (US citizens, US nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
+ BS EE or related Degree
+ Extensive experience with Embedded Systems design, documentation, troubleshooting, etc. including:
+ Embedded firmware
+ Embedded microcontroller
+ Proven technical project leadership experience.
+ Excellent skills in customer service, project management, and problem-solving.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and computer skills.
+ Knowledge of seismic source controllers is a plus.
+ Must be able to travel occasionally (estimated at less than 10%)
+ Candidates must be US Persons

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
